the once and future ben
Wednesday 1 April 2009
So I’m delivering on two promises here. The first is that I’m finally ‘life updating’ here. The second is another quiz, as I’m sure I must have posted that at some point, that I would return with more snappy answers. Some of these are factual, but eh.
Anyway, check your favourtie cut for your favourite content. :)
Well, here we are in the Year of our Lord two thousand and nine (plus or minus 4-10 years, thanks dear Dionysis) and I find myself sharing a facet of this tumultuous existence we call life with your, dear livejournal. Oh, how I have written to you over the years, the drops and fragments my myself slowly phasing out over the past as I move more of my online dynamic into Internets Two Point Zero, but still I retain a fondness for you.
Seriously though, for more recent live stuff? Facebook. Twitter. The cool kids are doing it ^_^
At any rate, here in 2009 I find myself one year (and three months) into my medical degree, still enjoying the hell out of myself while feeling inadequate a great deal of the time, and in much similar situations to my last life post. I’m still going out with Tegan, between 18 months and two years now, and am still working, albeit much more sparingly, at the worths of wool.
Currently, in terms of medicine, I’m around three months away from finishing full time uni and beginning primarily hospital-based rotations, in which I’ll spend three days a week following doctors around and hopefully doing some stuff, and one day a week at uni doing more theory/CBL based stuff. Looking forward to that, but am paranoid and terrified (a little) that I’ll completely screw up the final exam in June. Ah well. Time to recharge my study duracells.
In random news, I’ve decided (again) to revamp andiyar.com (again) based this time off wordpress. I’m basically going to integrate all the stuff I’ve written over the years, as well as random things to make a more comprehensive personal/portfolio site. I’m also (still) working on getting all my work from my creative arts degree integrated into a book I want to publish, via lulu or Amazon publishing. It’s called ‘fragments’ for the interested, and I’ll hopefully finish it up in the next few months and it’ll then maybe even hit the Amazon catalogue. ^_^
I’m also once again involved with the siren song of film production, as indicated by my January posting of the Bones poster mockup. My D&D friends and I are adapting a Cthulhu adventurette into a short film about stalkers, murder, psychoses and depressed 1970’s doctors. I’m currently the project’s writer, director, and main villain. Good times - we’re probably about half done filming at the moment, which is a bit of a slow process but is totally awesome. I might post a link to something if I can mockup enough to get an overall vibe together, we’ll see. For the curious, and those looking at the below post’s poster, the movie title is Bones, and it’s being made by Moonlit Studios (which is just me, nowadays) and by That Level Productions, which is what the group has taken as our name due to an inside D&D joke from a campaign set in space. Good times.
Otherwise, I’m still listening to random music, still doing vaporizer pen and watching random anime (Clannad + White Album hoorah!), am currently working on my upcoming D&D adventure (notre esmé Artur: et une fois le futur roi) and am about to go read some more about rheumatoid disease. Fwoah.
Life, eh?
