record setting
Monday 21 August 2006
Hm. So I’m setting an ‘all time record’ for this journal right now, by posting a third successive daily post. And how am I choosing to celebrate this event?
By posting something irrelevant that me me completely lose it when I got home, it was just that funny.
Anyway, whilst at Uni today, I received a couple of dozen emails. 15 were to do with Redline, which I can’t talk about much, a couple from friends at Uni, and… two spam messages. One of which made my day:
Sender: GregoryHi,rnHope I am not writing to wrong address. I am nice, pretty looakingrngirl. I am planning on visiting your town this month.b Can rnwe meet each other in persobn? Message ameb back at tbrai@graduateday.com
rnSo. I thought my friend Greg had sent me an email - which is understandable, I think. Though the subject line made me raise my eyebrows… especially when it turns out that me ol’mate Greg is in fact… a pretty looaking girl, who is visiting ‘my town’ this month. Ah, hilarity.
The other message was relatively boring. Something about chatting with some guy named ‘Neal’. Who isn’t a pretty looaking girl. ^_^
So yeah. My day made. Now, off to read books about André Breton, and learn what Surrealism is all about in terms of literature. Wikipedia is good for this too. Don’t tell my lecturer I said that though…
Oh yeah - for those who know I’ve been stressed over work at the moment, my poetry folio is in fact due Friday, not Wednesday. I went in to ask Alan a question, and picked up a two day extension because he is just that cool. And we chatted poetry and surrealism and migraines for fifteen minutes. I love Alan. ^_^
Alcata’riel.
