....a post!

Ladies and gentlemen, in the interests of disclosure, I thought a post here might be interesting and fun… and why not, as it’s been a while since my posts here actually had content :)
Life continues in an interesting vein. As no doubt you are aware, I both graduated undergraduate uni last year (Bachelor of Creative Arts (Creative Writing) and Bachelor of Science (Molecular Biology)), and started graduate uni this year (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) and am now finding the way forward both clearer, harder, and infinitely fun. I’m loving medicine, it is absolutely fantastic… even if I am suffering recurring bouts of paranoia as to the actual amount of learning I’m doing and on my upcoming exam performance, and already feeling stressed therefore… even though said exam(s, if we want to be accurate) aren’t scheduled until December. Oh, and my clinical competencies so far - BP measurement, CVSR workup - have both gained me nicely satisfactory marks with my examiners declaring they can tell I’m both competent and comfortable… so at least, in a practical sense, I’m well on the way.
Theory still will be my weakness, I predict. That said, it’s amazing how much retention goes on without awareness of the fact. And I’m working out some study patterns that are becoming more effective when I stick to them… so that’s good :) And the people I’m studying with are absolutely wonderful, the only detriment is the travel to Nowra 3/4 times a week… although to be honest, the campus at Nowra, with the exception being that it is in Nowra, is infinitely better than Wollongong… the people are nicer, the building is nicer (well, mostly. The lecture theatre is more classroom than lecture theatre, but the chairs are comfier ^^)
Woolies is still Woolies, albeit three times a week for 16 hours, not 5 times a week for 29 hours. Saturdays suck more now, with the alternate being a 7 - 5 shift, instead of 10.30 - 5, but I’m dealing with getting up at 6 on alternate Saturdays. Just feels like another Uni day.
Otherwise, life proceeds most satisfactorily in all aspects other than financials, due to basically working less, hence having less income. Such is life though, ne? And I am rather wrapped up in doing something I’m loving, so yeah. It’ll be worth it in the end :)
Alcata’riel.
