Congratulations, University of Wollongong. In the past four years, i have paid close to $800 for the privilege of parking in your fine carparks, and not having to walk over 5km per day to get to my car and back. And I was happy to do so, at least I could always park on campus. Where was debatable, but I always managed.

Now, you have decided to eliminate permits for students entirely, and convert the entire area to pay-per-hour parking. Fabulous. Oh, and you’ve managed to cut the areas that students can park, or could with a permit, by a half? And that half is now $6 a day to park in? Well done!

So you’re planning to charge me over $300 a session for parking then, assuming my timetable is fairly standard. And yet you claim that it is offering better service? And that parking is accessible and affordable to all?

Fuck you, Gerard Sutton. And the rest of the Board. I’ll be sending an elaborated (and slightly cleaner, although just as sarcastic) letter to your offices shortly. Until then… fuck you.
