I don’t know what to think, really. Kirky and I joked about it a year or so back, but I don’t think either of us was entirely serious when we just wished he’d get the book done first. I can’t say I’m incredibly shocked - he did have a highly deadly condition, and he wasn’t the youngest of men. And, there’s a little perverse voice that’s lived in my head since the Path of Daggers that has carped on about how the series will never truly end.
