Well. I got my gamsat results this afternoon. Breakdown:

Section I - 67rnSection II - 74rnSection III - 60rnOverall - 65

NB: These results are a) out of 100 and b) not actually percentages. That’s what ACER claims, which makes me certain that skanky scaling goes into effect to accumulate them.

Oh, and based on their nice performance graph of the people who took the exam in 2007 (around 12 thousand of us, if memory serves), my mark of 65 puts me in the 85th percentile. As in… I did better, or equal, to 85% of people who took the exam around the country.

I find myself rather pleased with this. Very pleased indeed.

Ahem. “Fuck yes” is the term I believe I shouted when I first read the percentile rankings. Fingers are now crossing for the interview/portfolio stuff - but one hurdle is out of the way! Well. I hope - it depends on how high UoW and such put their gamsat initial requirement this year. But my ranking makes me feel fairly hopeful. :)
