Things I have done recently that I have not yet gotten around to talking about but will probably eventually detail in the Mega Post that has been in the process of writing since Christmas.

a) effectively condemned myself to another four or five years of university (results of exam pending) due to reasons that include both apathy in my current degrees (in terms of working in them) and also in a wistful dreamlike ‘yeah, kinda been thinking about this for a while’ sense.

b) continued my traditions of January, that involve both avoiding almost everyone I know like the plague (for no apparent reason?) and starting a new FF game. FFVIII this time, for instance. Hoping to rectify the former problem too shortly, but it might take until the end of January :s

c) signed a new roster at the Place of Work that involves me working until midnight at least one night per week, and until ten o’clock every second Saturday, despite saying I’d never do it again as recent as July. God I hate being attached to something and feeling responsible for it, when I’ve never considered it more than temporary. Character issues, moi.

d) watched several movies (yes, this is rather a big deal for me) that I have seen before but am now struck by their relevance to life, specifically the Nightmare Before Christmas, and Trainspotting.

e) finally began revising for the second edition of Starlit Daybreak. More as it’s done, but for starters, it now includes about twice as much poetry and three or four prose texts, bumping the page count to around 100. Which isn’t too shabby really.

f) began to run another d20-based game set in Epitheisterra, this time a Call of Cthulhu-esque game that has ran for one session, but is set in the equivalent timeframe of 1908, and has so far included murder, suicide, Kronos-symbolism and the revelation that the entirety of North America is merely part of the Imperial Republic of Khara.

Otherwise? I’m listening to some semi-alternative music (Sigur Rós, random a capella groups), and have managed to complete all of the manga I had sitting on my shelf (about ten volumes).

Still to do, though, is relearn first year chemistry and learn physics. Yay, GAMSAT. :/
