A lot of things have happened since I last wrote what I suppose could be defined as a ‘penis size’ post - if penis size is appropriate to DVD collections. I lost my primary net connection at long last, I learned to hate Windows XP with a vengeance, I saw Return of the King again, I saw Underworld (which was kinda cool), bought more anime, received a long awaited book in the mail, and this week, started Uni again at http://www.uvuperformance.com.

Hmm. A lot to cover. Lets see, now the highlights are done, i suppose I could elaborate on a few things. Hmm. Lets see.

Hating XP… well. My primary net access is now on an XP Pro laptop. And it’s crashed more in two weeks than my iMac has in three years. Go figure. I need money even more now - I’ve decided to buy the low end eMac, and upgrade RAM as affordable. Just need a spare $1250…

Underworld… vampires vs. lycanthropes with guns and goth costumes. Movie was alright - main problem was they attempted to compress too much plot into too little time, and it was fairly clichéd. Otherwise, pretty cool.

Anime… hmm. Bought all the things on my order list… also bought Last Exile #1, Final Fantasy Unlimited #1, Excel Saga #1, and the Love Hina Spring Special. I think that’s it… haven’t watched all of it yet - almost finished watching Noir (at least, what I have - 5 out of 6 discs, 7th disc coming soon!) after which, Haibane Renmei #3, finish Witch Hunter Robin #1, finish Last Exile, watch FFU. To buy? Far too much - although I’m seriously considering getting the Love Hina box set, because I really enjoyed the Spring Special - and, amusingly enough, it’s technically the last dvd in the series apart from Love Hina Again, which ain’t available in Australia. And I bought it because I liked the cover - Naru looks pretty damn hot, in my opinion.

Yes Jon. I know. Anime girls, yeah. But still… mmmm…

The book… Megatokyo, Volume #2! Preordered it last April from IC Entertainment… Piro changed publishers to Dark Horse, redid all prepress stuff, eventually printed in January, posted in last week of January, arrived here three odd weeks later. Hoorah! Now, just need to actually read most of it… ^_^

Now, Uni starting. Timetable has been finalised… 10.30 - 4.30 Monday, 8.30 - 2.30 Wednesday, 8.30 - 12.30 Thursday & Friday. Gah. I hate mornings. Especially mornings of Practical classes. But, be that as it may, it was really nice to catch up with everyone again, play cards, chat, eat food, etc, etc, etc. I’ve really missed it, uni. Not so much classes… just Uni itself. Probably the most fun place I’m at at the moment.

Other stuff… well. I’m writing for class and not just for fun now - need to get more of the Fall of the Nervii typed up too. When I get to it. :)
