Well now. That exam I mentioned a few days back… ugh, and woohoo! It was a long answer/essay examination (for bloody Biology!) with 12 short answer questions and 3 essays. I had to pick my favourite 10 questions and two essays to do. Went through the paper quickly during reading time, picked six questions and the essays. Did those questions. Then looked at the remaining six, and picked the two I had no idea about. Did the others. ;-)

The essays now… did one on different breeding patterns and styles in various vertebrata, the other on similarities and differences between C4 and CAM photosynthetic pathways. The first one ended up.. oh… around four and a half pages. OK length. The second… well, let’s just say that four pages would be pushing it. Including diagrams. ;-)

I finished the three hour exam in about…2 hours or so. Pretty standard, it only took that long because of the essays. Such is life.

And now that I have free time again… I have to get my computer checked out. For those who didn’t know (ie, everyone except dampeoples ;) ) I recently bought a new USB external modem, because my iMac has no other method of accessing the ‘Net… due to a dead internal and a tech a year ago who gave me morbid fears of leaving my machine in the workshop again. Now… slight problem. For some reason, it likes to disconnect itself. Not occasionally.. say.. every fifteen minutes or so? It’s not a problem with the driver, it’s not a problem with the modem (replaced it already) it’s not a problem with the ISP or the phone line (checked both) so, logically, it must be the computer that is at fault. Sigh. So, after I register and insure my car in about two weeks, the computer is being sent to the shop. Why that long? Because I canna afford it before. :-)
